Mold/Tooling Technician – Rough Country Woodland, WA location

Job Description

Mold/Tooling Technicians are responsible for creating, adapting and adjusting molds and fixtures used in thermoforming of plastic.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Construct, modify and maintain molds and fixtures
  • Creates initial molds based on specifications from design team
  • Uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during and after molding operations
  • Maintains knowledge of materials and products
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Accountable for clean work areas, tools and equipment

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Wood Working: cabinetry, carpentry and fine woodworking
  • Metal Working: cutting, shaping, welding, and fabrication of steel and aluminum
  • Tool Use:  band & table saws, handheld power tools and milling machines
  • Be able to quickly switch between projects and skill sets as priorities are identified
  • Ability to improvise and think on the move
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing
  • Able to move & lift objects between 10-50 lbs.
  • Able to read, understand and execute verbal and written direction
  • Superior manual dexterity, muscular control and delicate touch necessary to complete precision work without damaging valuable molds

Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Thursday 10 hours/day, possibility of over time

Pay: Starting at $22/hour and based on experience
