Mold/Tooling Technician – Rough Country Woodland, WA location
Job Description
Mold/Tooling Technicians are responsible for creating, adapting and adjusting molds and fixtures used in thermoforming of plastic.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Construct, modify and maintain molds and fixtures
- Creates initial molds based on specifications from design team
- Uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during and after molding operations
- Maintains knowledge of materials and products
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Accountable for clean work areas, tools and equipment
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Wood Working: cabinetry, carpentry and fine woodworking
- Metal Working: cutting, shaping, welding, and fabrication of steel and aluminum
- Tool Use: band & table saws, handheld power tools and milling machines
- Be able to quickly switch between projects and skill sets as priorities are identified
- Ability to improvise and think on the move
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing
- Able to move & lift objects between 10-50 lbs.
- Able to read, understand and execute verbal and written direction
- Superior manual dexterity, muscular control and delicate touch necessary to complete precision work without damaging valuable molds
Job Type: Full-time, Monday – Thursday 10 hours/day, possibility of over time
Pay: Starting at $22/hour and based on experience
